COMMENT: Markus Flückiger (born 1969) is my colleague lecturer at the Lucerne Hochschule of Music and a well-known folk musician throughout Switzerland, appreciated as an outstanding virtuoso on the Schwyzerörgeli. He composed this lovely miniature in the late 90s and dedicated it to the famous yodelling singer Nadja Räss. My talented double bass student Madlaina Küng knew the composition and since she liked it very much, she tried to make an arrangement of the miniature for double bass and piano. The piece was adaptable with surprizing success and now it shines in its full beauty as a miniature in classical music. "Nadeshka" (in German written as "Nadeschka") is just as suitable as a miniature for viola and piano, or for violoncello and piano. Particularly interesting is the cello version in two variants: at the same height as on the double bass, or one octave higher (as in the version for viola)
