FILE FORMAT: PDF | 300 dpi
RELEASE: final
SCORES: 2x Double Bass (part) | 6 pages
PIANO PART: not included, free versions are available in the world web. This double bass part will match all available piano editions, from Ricordi to Peters
SCORDATURA: double bass tuning AEBF# and dAEB (both versions included)
SOURCE: various, early editions and manusripts | double bass parts arranged by Božo Paradžik
COMMENTS: this is the popular, just two-movements version (Menuetto is missing) of the brilliant, cheerful virtuoso sonata. The origin of the menuetto movement is doubtful, it probably doesn't belong to these two movements. The dAEB scordatura sounds much closer to the original (watch and listen at it, my YouTube video is just below), while the double bass part in the AEBF# version needed often to be transposed an octave lower than the violoncello part. Although, it also sounds very well.
High D scordatura version, recorded live in September 2013 with Maria Sofianska (piano):
