COMMENTS: My own arrangement of this very cool piece (originally composed for piano solo). "Péchés de vieillesse" is a collection of very late Maestro Rossini's compositions. It contains mainly short pieces for piano solo, but this one works surprisingly well in this version for double bass (only with high scordaturas) & piano, or for cello & piano. I have adapted it 2013, but performed this beautiful version so far only one single time in a concert, for a very special occasion:
