This release includes two parts: a blank Brahms Urtext, as well as scanned copy of my own part, an early version of the music with less precisely done layout- but it includes all my marks which could be helpful, such like the bowings or the fingerings
SOURCE: composer's original text | unamended, a few details minimally adapted
RECOMMENDED PIANO SCORES: Bärenreiter Urtext BA09430 (not included) | G.Henle Urtext HN1135 (not included) | Wiener Urtext UT50040 (not included) but also the first release (Simrock 1877) will work fine (available in world web free of charge, public domain)
COMMENTS: sheet music of this magic composition (adapted for double bass by myself) is the first ever release of this piece for double bass. A succesful performance of this sonata on double bass can work only with high C tuning (in fourths, cGDA, transposing in F). The music for double bass is 99.9% like the Urtext. Very minor changes have been done, mainly in the first movement- a list with details is also attached. As of 2023, I am currently still working on this piece with an intention to record a YouTube video and to perform the sonata in the future recitals. Working steps can be followed on my Instagram public profile, excerpts from all movements have been posted there.
